It’s easy to be involved into a credit card debt, all you need to do is to overspend on your card and you are into it. One of the hardest things to do is to get out of debt. You can only learn it over time and through proper self discipline. Some people are not that aware of how they can become debt free since they know that there are lots of ways to become debt free. It’s hard to live without credit cards once you’ve tried it. This is the main reason why most people are advice to take it easy in using their cards since you can always buy anything you need when payday comes. This way, you can budget your money.

Getting a loan to consolidate your debt is one good option. Credit card debt consolidation works well in many cases. All you need to do is to get a loan from the bank and pay your bills through that loan. In this case, you don’t need to pay for the credit cards you have every month instead, you only need to pay yearly to the bank where you get the amount you’ve loaned.

Most often, banks offer debt consolidation services to those who want to acquire for this type of service. Oftentimes, financial analyst would advice a person to go through this service to pay for their debts since it only requires you to pay annually with a minimal interest rate than paying multiple credit cards every month.

Drug rehabilitation centers are absolutely a way to fetch your life back on track. Most people deliberately or unknowingly fall in the trap of drugs and before they comprehend anything, they are hooked to it. Drug addiction overwhelms the lives of your family members, friends and your own. So, before you lose everything, get a move on towards any drug rehabilitation center, re-transform your life, and be a role model for all. Centers for drug treatments has grown in gigantic amounts over the past several years and though many of them have anecdotal philosophies on the best approach to addiction treatment, they all have one thing in common – to give each individual addict the tools needed to endure in the real world without further material abuse.

The thriving effects of drug treatment centers are genuine, and these rehabilitation centers hoard lives every day. With the increasing demand for drug rehabilitation centers, several niche centers and another means of treatment have arisen to make sure sufficient drug treatment centers and programs are available for all kinds of addictions, mental health disorders, and individual needs. While the main kinds of treatment programs available are still outpatient, residential short-term and residential long-term, the philosophies of drug treatment have spread far beyond the 12-step program. Not every addict reacts definitely to the 12-steps, especially those who have been in treatment multiple times. Drug addiction and alcohol abuse are life threatening diseases and loved ones are generally not willing to give up hope if the first attempt at treatment proves to be unsuccessful. For this reason, alternative treatment centers and philosophies have become more popular.

Vacheron constantin is one of the great watches in the Swiss watch industry. It is highly reputed for its elegant appearance and for their excellent technology. This type of watch has varied models that offer different fashionable designs that meet the dressing code or fashion of every individual.

But due to their rising price tags, the replica brands began to emerge. They were manufactured using the same feature and technological designs that are seen in their original version. The original brand referred to was first manufactured by the watch maker, Jean-Marc Vacheron in the year 1755, in the city of Geneva in Switzerland. His watch company has continued to produce quality and exotic watches till date. But the high price of the originals kept them out of the reach of many watch enthusiasts. As a result of this, the mock versions were introduced to help spread the use of this brand. Since their arrival, they have continued to draw admiration and have received wide commendation for their robust quality that competes even with their original counterparts. And again, their cheap price tag is an added advantage to these replica models. They now solve the problem of the expensive price of the original models. With the little sum of $280 you are on to grab a copy of it.

Like their masterpiece, they are seen in varied brands. Their major brands include the following: the Regulateur Automatic, the Perpetual calendar, the Classique Tourbillon, the Power Reserve Calendar and so many others.

All the above mentioned brands have the same design and mechanisms like their original counterpart. Such features like the wonderful dials, the Japanese quartz movement, inbuilt date window and glossy sapphire crystal glass that is scratch proof, are seen in this duplicated models.

Researchers found that women were less likely to buy a product if they believed that the female staff member was more attractive than them as they were considered a direct “social threat”.

Unlike celebrity endorsements, which were seen as positive role models, beautiful female shop assistants appear to be a little “too close to home” and direct competition to the purchaser. Potential purchasers may be even put off entering the shop altogether.

Bianca Price, of the University of South Australia, Adelaide, believes that retail bosses should now rethink their desire to employ “gorgeous girls” to work the shop floor as shoppers, especially women aged 18 to 26, can feel intimidated by assistants who “appear flawless and beautiful”.

“Retailers often think that beautiful is better,” she said. “In the same way that they use a celebrity to endorse a product, they hire a beautiful girl thinking that it reflects the brand and that other women will want to be like her.

“But it doesn’t always work like that – women may not consider celebrities a direct social threat, but they might consider the girl at their local shopping centre to be one.”

Her findings come after disabled British student Riam Dean won an employment tribunal against fashion chain Abercrombie and Fitch. She claimed she was sent to the stock room because her artificial arm did not fit the company’s “look policy.”

Ms Price, aged 27, admitted to feeling intimidated herself by pretty sales assistants and carried out the research to find out if other women felt the same way.

Using photographs of hypothetical shop workers – both attractive and unattractive – she asked 341 women whether they would consider buying cosmetics or a mobile phone from them.

If they considered the assistant to be better looking than them, they were less likely to buy something, the results showed.

The findings, published in the Journal of International Business and Economics, suggest so-called “look policies” should be re-drawn to include women of all shapes, looks and sizes.

“An advert in a magazine is one thing but going to the counter to make a face to face purchase is a completely different experience,” she said.

“When we go into a store we are looking for things which are going to make us feel better but when you have someone who seems to have it all naturally it can be confronting and threatening. You end up wondering ‘Why do I bother?’

“We are bombarded with images in life and women, especially younger ones, consider their appearance to be their CV.

“It’s what can determine the number of friends they have, their luck in finding a relationship and their success in their career.

“Women are biologically competitive – if they consider that a female is a direct social threat, it may affect their behaviour. We found that if women tended to avoid making the purchase.”

Ms Price, a PhD researcher at the university’s School of Management who co-authored the paper, said retailers should learn from the study.

“Beautiful is not always better,” she said. “It may not translate into higher sales. In fact, the opposite may occur. Retailers need

to understand that beauty can affect their bottom line. The solution lies in hiring women of all shapes and sizes – someone each of your potential customers can relate to.”

Although the attitudes of men were not part of the study, she believed that they may also be put off by being served by someone they regarded at better-looking.

In what the automaker hopes is a prophetic pairing, Nissan Motor Co. unveiled its new electric car as part of the grand opening ceremonies for its new, high-tech headquarters building in Japan’s semi-official zero-emissions city.

“Just as leaves purify the air in nature, so Nissan Leaf purifies mobility by taking emissions out of the driving experience,” the company said.

The five-seat, electric-blue Leaf hatchback is to be launched in select U.S. and Japanese markets next year to begin what Nissan hopes will become an era of global leadership for the company in a growing EV market.

Leadership shouldn’t be evasive if the Leaf lives up to its performance billing. A top speed of 90 mph, a range of 100 miles per charge with a 30-minute recharge where quick-charging stations are available (6 hours with a 220-volt current) and seat cushion-compressing acceleration that will launch it from zero to 30 mph faster than an Infiniti G37, thanks to 207 pound-feet of torque from its 80 kilowatt (107 horsepower) electric motor are all part of the package.

To the degree that price matters, Nissan’s also got a big edge in the EV world. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the company insists the Leaf will be “affordable” with pricing equivalent to a well-equipped C-class (compact) car.

That’s a European compact, though, and they’re a lot better equipped, and more costly, than compacts in the U.S. so figure $28,000 to as much as $35,000 (the range for Nissan partner Renault’s Megane hatchback) — not super cheap, but a bit less than the five-place Chevy Volt.

And that’s before any government incentives — which could knock a substantial amount from the car’s price in Japan and would be at least $7,500 in the U.S. as long as funding continues for the federal clean car credit program.

Nissan officials say pricing was held down in part by developing the entire powertrain, including the laminated lithium-manganese battery pack — arguably the most expensive single component on the car at around $10,000 — in-house with an eye toward affordability.

But the real trick is that the batteries won’t be part of the selling price: Nissan’s global approach will be to sell the car, but lease the battery pack.

The argument for leasing is that if you buy a gasoline car, the gasoline isn’t part of the deal, and the battery pack in an EV (plus the electricity that it stores) can be likened to the gas needed to make a conventional car go.

The approach in the U.S, where consumers might be leery of buying a car, but having to lease an essential part of its powertrain, may be to simply lease the entire package, said Andy Palmer, Nissan’s senior vice president and head of product planning.

Decisions on the sales or leasing method, as well as on U.S. pricing, will be made closer to the Leaf’s late-2010 launch, Palmer said.

The event will make Nissan the first major automaker in modern times to put a full-service battery-electric car into dealerships for retail sales.

To help do away with charging anxiety, Nissan has equipped the Leaf with a communications system that enables drivers to communicate in real time with a special information center to find out where the closest chargers are, which ones are open and operating, and whether they have fast or slow chargers.

The system also highlights in real time on the Leaf’s standard navigation system screens the one-way and round-trip travel ranges the car can achieve before needing a battery charge, and sends signals to a driver’s cell phone or PDA when a car plugged in at a home or public charger is topped up and ready to go.

The Leaf’s target launch date will beat General Motors’ Volt plug-in hybrid, and while Japan’s Mitsubishi and Subaru both launched EVs for sale to fleets in Japan last month, the cars are smaller, lower-speed, “city cars” with far less range than the 100 miles-per-charge Nissan claims for the Leaf.

The concept unveiled today is pretty much what the production car will look like next year, sans the exotic paint and high-end interior appointments unique to concept and show cars.

Shiro Nakamura, Nissan’s global design chief, told us in an interview after a private preview showing of the pre-production concept, that the Leaf, while all-Nissan in concept and technology, borrows a smidgen of design language from partner Renault’s popular Megane compact, most notably in the notched hatch.

The elongated but curiously bulbous headlamp assembly (designed for looks and airflow, said Shiro-san) extremely short nose (no engine to hide) and sharply delineated flanks and wheel cutouts are all Nissan, showing a little bit of the styling that went into the Murano crossover utility vehicle — no shocker when you learn that the Leaf’s chief designer also headed the Murano design team, according to Nakamura.

The internet was abuzz with tweets, blog posts and instant messages yesterday as rumours spread that Google and Twitter, two of the web’s biggest names, were close to completing a multimillion-dollar deal.

Michael Arrington, the author of the influential technology blog TechCrunch, claimed to have spoken to two close sources and said they suggested that negotiations were in the late stages. He believed that Google would have to pay well above the $250 million (£170 million) that Twitter was recently valued at by financial investors.

Twitter, the social networking and “microblogging” site, is one of the hottest properties on the web. It has almost 10 million users, who post short updates – “tweets” of up to 140 characters via the website or a mobile phone. More than 3.5 million people signed up in the first two months of this year alone, according to the internet market specialist comScore.

Celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross are avid users. Barack Obama used the site as a tool during last year’s presidential elections to talk quickly and directly to hundreds of thousands of followers.

It has broken major news stories, giving the first witness reports from the Mumbai terrorist attacks and American plane crashes in Denver and in the Hudson River in New York.

Twitter has long been admired by other big technology companies. Its founders, Biz Stone, Evan Williams and Jack Dorsey, were involved in negotiations to sell it to Facebook, the social-networking site that was considered the internet’s “new big thing” before Twitter came along. The deal broke down, with Peter Thiel, an executive involved in the negotiations, hinting that an asking price of around $500 million was too steep.

Mr Williams and Mr Stone sold their start-up, Blogger, to Google five years ago. A Google spokesman said that the company “would not comment on rumour and speculation” about any new deal. Mr Stone wrote on his blog: “It should come as no surprise that Twitter engages in discussions with other companies regularly and on a variety of subjects. Our goal is to build a profitable, independent company and we’re just getting started.”

Twitter could help Google to become more responsive, giving an insight into what the world is talking about at any given moment. Despite Twitter’s popularity, its founders have struggled to reap significant revenues. Jeff Mann, vice-president of the technology analyst Gartner research, said: “The culture and ambitions of Twitter and Google match. Now is the time for Twitter to sell.”

China is calling for a new global currency to replace the dominant dollar, showing a growing assertiveness on revamping the world economy ahead of next week’s London summit on the financial crisis.

The surprise proposal by Beijing’s central bank governor reflects unease about its vast holdings of U.S. government bonds and adds to Chinese pressure to overhaul a global financial system dominated by the dollar and Western governments. Both the United States and the European Union brushed off the idea.

The world economic crisis shows the “inherent vulnerabilities and systemic risks in the existing international monetary system,” Gov. Zhou Xiaochuan said in an essay released Monday by the bank. He recommended creating a currency made up a basket of global currencies and controlled by the International Monetary Fund and said it would help “to achieve the objective of safeguarding global economic and financial stability.”

Water for good health is an idea that goes back centuries. It is an old belief that an average person should drink at least ‘8 glasses of water’ a day.

A lot of people believe that drinking water throughout the day can cure many diseases. But the ‘8 glasses of water’ per day is just a rule of thumb, not an absolute standard.

Some people force themselves to drink water throughout the day and facing some small problems as well.

According to some kidney experts of the Pennsylvania University, drinking increased amount of water throughout the day is not beneficial for health. Moreover, they said (Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, April 2008), “since water is cleared from the gastrointestinal tract very quickly, it is likely that people who try to diet by not changing their food consumption and just drinking water, will be hungry between meals”.

There has yet to be a study that compares two groups of people and weight loss through water consumption.

In general, to remain healthy one need to drink enough water to replace the amount we lose daily through excretion, perspiration and other body functions. But that amount can vary from person to person. Different things are important like surrounding weather, physical condition and one’s activity level.

In fact, total water intake includes water in other beverages, and the water in food. But how do we know whether we are drinking enough water or not? Some experts say, “If you are not thirsty, your fluid intake is probably ok.” That is why marathon runners and bikers all need to recognise the signs of dehydration.

The American College of Sports Medicine recommends that athletes drink 16 ounces of fluids a couple of hours before starting sports practice. And certainly people in hot or in dry climates have increased need for water. They need to understand the importance of dehydration.

A German physician, Wilhelm Hufeland (1764-1836), who practiced natural medicine and vitalism, was one of the early promoters of ‘8-10 glasses of water’ a day. He and some other practitioners encouraged their followers to drink lots of water for curative properties and to flush out toxins and impurities. He wrote, “fresh spring or mineral water, was the best drink and an excellent means of prolonging life.” He also added, “Many special curative properties were attributed to fresh, cold water – which was a fortifier of the stomach and nerves.”

Drinking 8 glasses water was rarely questioned until Dr. Valtin’s important investigation in 2002. He tries to find any scientific justification for drinking so much water. Dr. Valtin conducted a 10-month review of the scientific literature and historic documents and interviewed many medical experts. He also tried to uncover a definitive science-based origin for the above conventional recommendation.

Than again, it does not mean that we do not need to drink water. Water is important to maintain a healthy body.

Our body is estimated to be about 60 to 70 percent water. Water transports oxygen to your cells, removes waste, and protects our joints and organs. Blood is mostly water, and our muscles, lungs and brain also contain a lot of water. Our body needs water to regulate body temperature and to provide the means for nutrients to travel to all our organs.

Anyhow, these views about water have certainly helped the plastic bottled water industries. But remember, bottled water available in our local markets is mostly purified waters. They are not mineral waters. And clearly, we need better sources of information about this bottled water as well.

- Dr Rubaiul Murshed
